Engagement Tools

It is critical to engage everyone in a school ecosystem if we are to provide environments where children can thrive. Our engagement framework and tools are founded on strong core principles, such as:
- Inclusivity. Everyone's voice is valued, heard, and considered, regardless of background or role.
- Transparency. Clear communication channels and shared goals are vital to providing trusted, healthy environments.
- Collaboration. Partnerships between students, families, teachers, and staff are critical for mutual growth.
- Empowerment. Everyone should be equipped with appropriate tools and opportunities to ensure they can contribute effectively.
Child Engagement
Our age-appropriate child engagement tools foster student involvement and ownership of their learning and school environment—both academically and socially. We provide 'student voice' tools, engagement activity frameworks, well-being programs, and multiple check-in points where emotion, regulation, resilience, and various well-being metrics can be communicated by the pupil (or used on their behalf if they are too young).
Students can also nominate trusted adults in the school to whom they can turn when needed, be that for academic help or for guidance in any other matter. Our tools automatically offer this help based on student metrics, as well as providing a direct way for the child to communicate their needs to their trusted adult.
Family Engagement
Our family engagement tools help build strong, collaborative relationships between families and schools. Communication and transparency are critical to these relationships, so step one is to provide easy-to-use, modern experiences.
But that's not the end of the story. Our frameworks provide participation activities, volunteer and guest speaker management, and many support resources for both schools and families.
Teacher Engagement
Teachers are role models for children. Teacher well-being, happiness, regulation, enthusiasm, and positivity have an out-sized effect on children in their schools, so the best way to achieve a healthy student population is to have a healthy teacher environment.
Our teacher engagement tools include role, skill, and goal frameworks—as well as career maps, progression tools, and recognition frameworks. Schools can use our carefully designed role and skill maps or can refine and define their own. Additionally, school leaders can perform rich analytics of their workforce's roles, skills, goals, and training consumption, and can build strategies that drive schools forward.
Non-Teaching Staff Engagement
Teachers and classroom-based staff are not the only role models that children encounter at school. Everyone who contributes to the school environment (including governors, principals, head teachers, lab technicians, secretaries, reception staff, maintenance experts, and janitors) influences the culture and an effect on the children.
The same tools and principles for teacher engagement are also available for any member of staff. A happy, healthy, enthusiastic workforce across the entire school is the most influential factor in ensuring children can thrive.
Metrics for Success
We believe in providing the frameworks and tools that foster engagement at every level of a school. But we also believe in the value of measurement—so that schools can unequivocally demonstrate their success, and so that they can course correct when needed.
Our tools measure engagement, participation, sentiment, satisfaction, academic & social outcomes, and well-being. They also measure teacher and staff retention, family interaction and satisfaction, and even community impact. Most importantly, these metrics are correlated with initiatives and improvement programs and can be used as evidence of progress and achievement.
